FAQs

Q: Where can I find the public skate schedule?

A: The rinks (Hersheypark Arena and Giant Center) are responsible for the public skating schedule. Hershey Figure Skating Club is not in charge of and does not create the public skate schedule. You can find the current public skate schedule here

Q: Where can I find the Learn to Skate schedule for times, dates, and locations?

A: On our website, visit the "classes" tab, then go to "all age learn to skate." Our most updated schedule can always be found on the website. Other classes' times/days/locations can be found under the "classes" tab then clicking on specific classes.

Q: Is skate rental available during Learn to Skate classes?

A: Yes! Skate rental is available at all Learn to Skate classes for $3 a pair. You are also welcome to bring your own skates.

Q: Do I have to sign-up for individual Learn to Skate classes? Can I come to all three classes held each week or just one?

A: Your monthly membership allows you to come to all three classes held each week or just one (or none); whatever works with your schedule! There is no need to register for individual classes. You are welcome to come to every LTS class!

Q: Can I rent or buy gloves, hockey gear, or helmets at Learn to Skate classes?

A: Unfortunately we do not have any gear available to rent or buy at Learn to Skate classes.

Q: How can I cancel my Learn to Skate or club program membership?

A: To cancel your Learn to Skate or club program membership, please email [email protected] and state when the membership should be cancelled for (what month), what membership is being cancelled (ex: LTS, aspire, etc.), and the name of the skater(s). Membership cancellation requests must be sent before the 1st of each month. No refunds will be issued after the 1st of each month.

Q: Do I need to be a member of Hershey Figure Skating Club to skate on freestyle ice?

A: No, you do not need to be a member of HFSC to skate on freestyle ice. The only requirement to use freestyle ice is that you must be using the ice to practice skills either by yourself or with a private coach. Freestyle ice is not a public skate session and is not permitted to be used as such.

Q: What programs do you offer as a club?

A: We offer Learn to Skate, therapeutic/adaptive skating, Theatre on Ice, and club classes. See the "classes" tab and the infographics below for more information.
